This role involves leading crucial transportation projects, collaborating across disciplines, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in roadway design, particularly with Illinois DOT and Tollway.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of professional engineering experience, including 6+ years focused on roadway or transportation design.
• Roadway design experience with IDOT and/or Illinois Tollway required.
• Illinois P.E. or ability to reciprocate within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead major Illinois transportation projects.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and subconsultants.
• Review complex technical calculations and deliverables.
• Visit project sites to assess conditions and develop solutions.

Skills

Experience with Illinois DOT and/or Illinois Tollway

Working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Continued learning and expanding technical and leadership skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
