Job summary

City and County of Honolulu invites a Planner V to lead the planning and policy development for on-street parking, curbside management, and mobility programs. You will analyze parking data and socio-economic trends to inform decisions while coordinating funding and contract oversight across related projects.

You will respond to inquiries, prepare reports and program plans for rideshare and carshare initiatives, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in city planning or related field; equivalent substitutions allowed.
• Two years of professional transportation planning experience required; related fields considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and policy development for on-street parking and curbside programs.
• Conduct and analyze studies on parking inventory, occupancy, permits, and socio-economic trends.
• Develop reports, recommendations, and program plans for rideshare, carshare, and emerging mobility services.
• Manage funding, budgeting, procurement, and performance monitoring.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve parking and mobility issues in compliance with laws and regulations.
