Job summary

City and County of Honolulu, HI is seeking a Planner V in the Department of Transportation Services, Transportation Performance & Development Division. You will lead professional planning efforts for the City’s on-street parking and curbside management, including carshare, rideshare, and emerging mobility services to keep Honolulu moving safely and efficiently.

The role requires two years of professional experience in transportation planning and a degree in a related field; a driver's license is

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in city planning or related field (or equivalent substitutions).
2 years of professional work experience in transportation planning and/or engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Lead planning and policy development for on-street parking and curbside management programs.
Conduct and analyze studies related to parking inventory, occupancy, permits, and socio-economic trends.
Develop reports and program plans for rideshare, carshare, and emerging mobility services.
Manage funding, budgeting, procurement and performance monitoring.
Respond to inquiries and interpret laws and regulations affecting parking and mobility.
