Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to join our Washington area team. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for planning world class transportation choices for communities and strong ability to communicate strategically to support analysis and decision making.

This role may be based out of the Bellevue or Seattle offices, with potential client co-located officing. The role involves directing multi-discipline projects and engaging with clients to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering or related field
10+ years' transportation planning experience
Excellent analytical skills
Strong communication skills
Understanding of transit planning principles
Ability to work independently or in a team
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and personnel
Commitment to employee-owned culture

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and monitor large multidiscipline transportation planning projects
Solve complex policy and design relationships in transit planning
Interface with client staff and leadership
Establish client relations and participate in marketing and contracts meetings
Direct work of others to complete studies and reports
Demonstrate public participation and agency coordination
Coordinate staffing and workload to complete documents on schedule
Perform other duties as needed
