Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner based in Austin, Texas, to lead planning, programming and engineering efforts for the Transportation team. You will conduct feasibility studies, safety analyses, ITS studies including autonomous vehicles, and advise on policy and project selection for MPOs at state and national levels.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of transportation planning experience, a related Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and strong communication skills with

• 7+ years of experience in transportation planning and programming.
• Experience managing a team and coordinating with clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication and policy advising.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation planning, programming and engineering tasks for state and national MPOs.
• Conduct feasibility studies, safety analyses, ITS studies including autonomous vehicles.
• Advise on policy, project selection, long-range plans and congestion management.
• Coordinate budgets, schedules, and regular client reporting.
• Develop professional development and monitor staff skills.
