The Senior Planner is both a subject matter expert in a set of practice areas and contributes meaningfully to our clients' strategic business decisions. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Planner collaborates with other technical leaders and project managers across business units. They both serve as a company-wide resource and lead projects or tasks in practice areas including safety; corridor planning; long-range planning; asset, performance, and risk management; and resilience and sustainability. Their expertise will inform research and influence clients' policy, process, and strategy, including investment decisions.
The Senior Planner in Texas develops collaborative relationships with current and prospective public agency clients across Texas, including the Texas Department of Transportation; Metropolitan Planning Organizations, municipalities, and other public entities such as tolling agencies or port authorities. Using those relationships, they identify future policy and programming opportunities. They also build connections with our peer firms and lead teaming negotiations with other consulting firms as part of proactive and reactive marketing efforts.
The Senior Planner trains, manages, and mentors junior staff and motivates multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants to deliver work products on-time and within budget.
