Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a technically focused Sr. Engineering Manager to join our transportation team in Peoria, IL.

You will provide engineering, staff support, and QC/QA services for roadway and street projects for local, statewide, and nationwide clients. You will develop and mentor staff, collaborate with multiple disciplines, and manage budgets and schedules while partnering with leadership across the Transportation Group and Company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• 15+ years of transportation experience with diverse project experience.
• Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience working on and with IDOT, County, and Local Agency projects.
• Proven leadership skills with engineering staff.
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Ability to effectively manage clients and deliver successful projects.
• Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously.
• Working experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, support, and provide QC/QA for projects related to transportation planning and design.
• Develop and mentor staff.
• Collaborate with other disciplines.
• Develop and maintain Client Relations.
• Establish and maintain budgets and schedules.
• Work in partnership with leadership and other team members throughout the Transportation Group and Company.
