Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to join the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) GEC Team in Austin, TX. You will apply technical expertise and project management to lead engineering design teams on roadway projects and programmatic activities, coordinating client communications and production efforts.

The role requires a BS and/or MS in Civil Engineering, 7+ years of experience, TxDOT highway design, ITS/tolling knowledge, and a TX PE license.

Qualifications

• BS and/or MS in Civil Engineering required or preferred.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• TxDOT highway/roadway design experience required.
• ITS and Tolling experience is a plus.
• P.E. license in TX is required.
• MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings; may supervise production.
• Conduct engineering investigations and plan work; data analysis and feasibility assessments.
• Prepare assigned sections of reports under senior review.
• Review shop drawings for conformance and assist in records/ progress reports.
• Perform data acquisition and analysis; evaluate alternative design approaches.
• Prepare material for reports and permit applications; gather information and present it clearly.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Conduct field observations of construction when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
