West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) seeks a Transportation Engineer 4 to lead district operations, sign/seal major deliverables, and mentor engineers. This is a high-level technical role reporting to District 9 HQ in Greenbrier County.
Candidate must hold a West Virginia P.E. or obtain by comity within 6 months, with 7+ years of civil engineering experience and an ABET-accredited degree. Travel and a valid driver’s license are required.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of West Virginia (or comity with WV registration within 6 months)
- ABET-accredited engineering degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Petroleum, Mining, Environmental or related field
- Transcript or diploma must be attached to the application
- 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Travel may be required; valid driver's license required
- Preferred: 3+ years post-licensure in complex design/construction management or supervisory engineering duties
