Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents and assist them in and out of vehicles, ensuring comfort and safety on every trip. The role emphasizes safety, reliable service, and compassionate resident care within the Sunrise community.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, documenting driving logs, and adhering to safety and infection-control standards while supporting activities when not driving.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; 21+ age requirement.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification or as required.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
