Nitsch Engineering, Inc. seeks a Transportation Design Project Manager to lead complex transportation engineering projects from our Lawrence, MA office. You will coordinate teams, manage budgets, and ensure quality deliverables for MassDOT, city, and private clients.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of highway experience, and a Massachusetts PE license (or ability to obtain within a year). The role emphasizes leadership, business development, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• Massachusetts PE license or ability to obtain within one year.
• 10+ years' experience in Transportation/Highway engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in project management and client management.
• Ability to staff current and future projects.
• Experience with proposals, business development, and public presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee transportation engineering projects for government and private clients.
• Staff and supervise project team, coordinate subconsultants, mentor staff.
• Perform technical quality control reviews.
• Prepare milestone and final submissions.
• Manage roadway and transportation design projects.
• Oversee construction documents, specs, estimates, and reports.
• Develop new business and represent Nitsch at conferences.
• Lead professional development of staff.
