Zusammenfassung

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking a Chief Construction Inspector to lead our CEI team in Shelton, CT. This role oversees transportation infrastructure construction, ensures compliance with contract documents, and represents GPI with contractors and clients in the field.

You will mentor inspectors, manage staff, review reports, and coordinate testing and QA activities while ensuring schedules and budgets stay on track. Prior CT DOT/public works exposure is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 8 years of construction inspection experience on transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reviewing schedules, pay estimates, RFIs, and change orders.

Aufgaben

• Lead construction inspection activities on roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Manage and supervise inspection staff, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Serve as the primary liaison between GPI, contractors, and Connecticut DOT representatives.
• Ensure construction work complies with plans, specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
• Review and approve daily inspection reports, material certifications, and project documentation.
• Monitor project schedules, quantities, change orders, and pay estimates.
• Coordinate field testing and quality assurance activities.
• Conduct project meetings and communicate project status to clients and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve construction issues while maintaining project progress and quality.
• Mentor junior inspectors and support staff development.
