Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking Construction Inspectors to perform inspection services on Road & Bridge projects across Connecticut for CTDOT, Turnpike, and Transit programs. Inspectors will verify compliance with plans and specifications and assist the Resident Engineer with project administration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in performing construction inspection.
• Willing to work outdoors.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Certifications: ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector and/or Concrete Field Testing Technician; Asphalt Technician Certification (preferred); HMA Density Testing Inspector; NICET Concrete/Asphalt/Soils; OSHA 10 Construction Safety and Health Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project Resident Engineer with project administration.
• Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.
• Perform daily construction inspection of work activities, including sampling and field testing per ASTM and in-place density tests.
