Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Transport Network Engineer to support DISA-GLOBAL at Scott AFB in Illinois. This role focuses on sustainment, maintenance, and change management for DoD networks, ensuring secure, reliable operation.

You will design and engineer transport networks, deploy hardware, troubleshoot DWDM and cryptographic systems, and work with vendors and customers to resolve incidents.

Requires active Secret clearance, DoD 8750 IAT II or Security+ CE, and experience with CIENA and Cisco platforms.

Qualifications

Active security clearance required.
DoD 8750 IAT II or Security+ CE or equivalent.
Experience with CIENA and Cisco transport platforms.
Experience with fault isolation and root cause analysis.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer transport networks.
Perform network management system design and procedures.
Deploy network hardware on operational nodes.
Coordinate changes and monitor traffic impacts.
Provide incident management escalation support.
Update ServiceNow documentation and MSS database.
Coordinate maintenance with technicians and customers.
Troubleshoot across DWDM, SONET, TDM and cryptographic systems.
