Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Transport Network Engineer to support DISA-provided capabilities at Scott AFB, IL. You will perform sustainment and maintenance, design network architecture, and manage incidents across CIENA, Cisco, DWDM, SONET platforms in a secure DoD environment.

Required are a BS degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience and an active Secret clearance. The role involves cross-team collaboration, incident management, and deployment of network changes while ensuring uptime and security

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent.
• Experience with CIENA, Cisco platforms, DWDM/SONET.
• BS degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform sustainment, maintenance, and Change management for DoD networks.
• Design and engineer transport networks; develop procedures and document changes.
• Manage faults, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate with TAC and vendors.
• Update ServiceNow with accurate incident and work logs; provide situational awareness.
• Coordinate maintenance windows and site data for scheduled outages.
