Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Sr Engineer - Transmission & Substation Protection Analysis to provide operational analysis for transmission, distribution, and substation protection. You will analyze faults and support abnormal conditions, focusing on reliability and safety.

You will work with operations, field testing, and design engineering, generating CM Work Requests and contributing to ongoing protection improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE licensure required.
7+ years of professional engineering experience.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Provide fault location information on 69kV+ lines for automatic operations.
Guide operations, field testing group, and others on system alarm conditions and event analysis.
Review protective relay event records and recommend improvements.
Provide system event information for power quality investigations and claims.
Utilize PI (SCADA Historian) to observe pre/post event data and analyze events.
Generate Corrective Maintenance (CM) Work Requests to resolve abnormalities.
