Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Transmission & Substation Standards engineer to maintain and develop standards for high-voltage assets including 765kV, 345kV, 138kV, and below. The role focuses on engineering practices, material specifications and design drawings, working with internal teams to ensure safe, affordable, and reliable energy delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of standards, codes, methods and practices
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience with related career experiences
• PE license or advanced degree can reduce experience requirement

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for T&S Standards including engineering practices and material specifications
• Point of contact for technical questions on material applications and design standards
• Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to set design and material standards
• Lead multi-discipline teams and provide training and mentorship
• Interface with IEEE, EPRI, EEI, MEA to introduce new design improvements
