Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams for high voltage substation design and analysis. You will direct engineers, designers, estimators, controls and schedulers on EPC and related projects.

The role emphasizes delivering quality work on time and within budget, coordinating with civil, structural and transmission teams, and mentoring staff. A hybrid schedule requires three days in the office with two remote days; relocation support is available

Qualifications

• BS from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years in design engineering or management of high voltage utility projects.
• Experience with EPC, Owners Engineer, Traditional or Joint Ventures.
• Experience serving as firm/client liaison in a support, engineer or management role.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; experience writing proposals.
• Experience in cost allocation, estimating, risk assessment programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage project team(s) of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals.
• Direct the team lead in coordinating detailed design phases for electrical engineering work.
• Coordinate and manage work by other stakeholders (civil, structural, transmission lines).
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed with high quality, on time, and within budget.
• Identify scope changes and coordinate with the client for approvals.
• Coordinate system design activities to ensure compliance with specs, codes and client requirements.
• Collaborate with staff locally and nationwide.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information per client and S&L formats.
• Review work including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Communicate with clients providing project and account support; support business development.
• Perform independent reviews of scopes, proposals, procurement specs, and contract documents.
• Develop and mentor team members.
