Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited US curriculum or equivalent
• 13 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Knowledge of NERC and WECC reliability standards
• Experience in transmission planning studies
• Experience with complex load flow programs (e.g., GE PSLF)
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
• Current California PE license, Electrical Engineering (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Basecase Preparation: Understand methodology, improve methodology, manage approval for PG&E’s transmission load forecast.
• Lead and advise in developing complex models and in methodology and assumptions for complex issues.
• Transmission System Studies: Develop innovative solutions for complex transmission issues; lead WECC-wide studies and inter-regional planning efforts.
• Project Implementation: Lead inter-regional coordination projects, CPCN processes, and regulatory audits; act as witness or liaison for regulatory proceedings.
