Mesa Associates, Inc. in the Delaware/Newark area seeks a Principal Transmission Structural Engineer to lead analysis, design, and evaluation of transmission poles, towers, and foundations.

You will guide technical work, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality deliverables across multiple states, including client engagement and design reviews.

Qualifications

• ABET 4-year engineering degree (Civil or Structural).
• 12–15+ years of transmission structural experience.
• SE license in California and Illinois required; other states preferred.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, L-Pile and MFAD; understanding of relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design of transmission poles, towers, and foundations.
• Mentor engineers and review structural packages for multiple states.
• Ensure QA/QC standards and technical risk management.
• Engage with clients, participate in design reviews and project strategy meetings.
• Apply knowledge of ASCE 7/48/10/11, NESC, TIA-222, MOP-74/160/161.
