Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks a Principal Transmission Structural Engineer to lead analysis, design, and foundation work for transmission poles, towers, and foundations. The role emphasizes mentorship, QA/QC, and cross-state project leadership.

You'll apply knowledge of historical and modern materials, use PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, STAAD, and related tools, and ensure safe, reliable structures across multi-state projects, with remote/hybrid options and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil/Structural engineering degree.
• 12–15+ years of transmission structural experience.
• Structural engineering expertise in poles, towers, and foundations.
• Licensure as SE in CA and IL (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design of transmission poles and towers.
• Review and approve structural packages.
• Mentor senior engineers and review QA/QC standards.
• Provide field support for construction issues.
