Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks a Principal Transmission Structural Engineer to lead analysis, design, and foundation engineering for transmission poles, towers, and foundations across multiple states.

You will mentor engineers, review packages, and ensure QA/QC and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 12-15+ years of experience, a PE/SE license, and deep expertise in historic and modern materials, PLS-CADD, ASCE 7, NESC, and related codes.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited degree required for civil/structural emphasis.
• PE/SE licensure in required states or ability to obtain.
• 12–15+ years of transmission structural experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of steel and wood transmission structures.
• Review and approve structural packages and QA/QC standards.
• Mentor senior engineers and coordinate with project teams.
• Perform loading evaluations per ASCE 7, NESC, and related codes.
• Manage foundation design, including drilled shafts and footings.
