Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority in Marble Falls, TX, seeks a Crew Lead for our High Line team. Based on site, you will coordinate maintenance and repair of electric transmission lines, guiding crew members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

You will provide on-site leadership, advise on installations and operating decisions, plan routine and emergency servicing, and ensure documentation is completed. A Journeyman level and a Texas Class A CDL are required.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in electrical or mechanical equipment installation, maintenance or repair in a high-voltage environment or transmission line installation, maintenance or repair.
• A degree in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, industrial or mechanical maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Class A Texas commercial driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership for all crew members performing duties for Transmission maintenance projects and perform job duties and responsibilities of a Journeyman.
• Advise and provide technical support relative to project installations, system priorities, and operating decisions during normal and emergency situations for both internal and external resources.
• Plan and schedule routine and emergency servicing and restoration of equipment within assigned area. Ensure schedules and maintenance intervals are met.
• Coordinate major equipment setup and upkeep with other work groups or departments. Perform field service and sophisticated and detailed repairs, installation and maintenance of equipment in assigned area.
• Perform final test, verify accurate operation and release equipment for service.
• Complete and turn in day-to-day documentation such as time tickets, mileage sheets, detailed daily reports and trouble tickets.
