Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical transmission systems. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards while mentoring the crew and documenting progress.

Candidates should have Class A experience with overhead/underground lines, CDL A, First Aid, CPR, and ability to travel. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for successful project

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Requires Class A level experience installing and maintaining overhead and underground power lines.
• Valid CDL A is required.
• First Aid Certification is required.
• Competency in CPR and pole top rescue is required.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email, Abacus, Excel, KPA)
• Competent in operating ALL equipment including track bucket/digger.
• Certification in safe traffic control practices and public safety techniques per state and local regulations are required.
• Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination.
• Able and willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able and willing to work for extended periods in various locations.
• Able and willing to work in all types of weather environments including inclement weather.
• Able and willing to work overtime when required.
• In-depth understanding of the utility industry and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical transmission systems.
• Train and mentor team members and document project progress.
• Supervise gloving, vehicle operation, wire pulling, and pole setting.
• Ensure safety and compliance with MUTCD and state regulations.
• Coordinate scheduling and allocate crews to meet completion dates.
• Inspect jobs and audit as-built documents.
• Interpret job packages and manage multiple crews and projects.
