Job summary

Southeast Power Corporation is seeking a Journeyman Lineman (transmission) to perform skilled construction, maintenance and repair of overhead transmission lines in Bastrop, TX, with travel to other states as required.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of field experience, CDL within 90 days, and the ability to work safely at heights, lift 50 lbs, and lead a crew. This safety-sensitive role requires extensive knowledge of high voltage systems and adherence to DOT/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field experience.
• CDL within 90 days of employment preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and travel long distances.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety-focused work on transmission systems.
• Install transformers, insulators, switches and crossarms.
• Lead a crew in assembly and erection of structures.
• Work with energized high voltage systems with care.
