Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team in New Albany, OH. You will provide technical leadership for high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects, guiding design from planning through delivery and interfacing with clients.

Responsibilities include leading project execution up to 765 kV, developing schedules, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring QA/QC. Travel to client sites and meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; 7–10 years' transmission design experience.
• PE license (multi-state preferred).
• Knowledge of NESC, RUS, and GO-95; strong English communication.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and transmission design.
• Proficient in MS Office; committed to safety and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high-voltage transmission line projects up to 765 kV.
• Create and maintain project schedules; conduct meetings; coordinate with clients.
• Lead project teams and support PM with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence; mentor staff; travel as needed.
• Contribute to business development and client relationships.
