Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions seeks an Engineering Manager - Transmission Line to lead engineering, design and drafting on high voltage infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, reliability and cost efficiency. You will supervise engineers, oversee compliance with codes and standards, plan pole loading, and guide project scopes for overhead and underground systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical/structural/mechanical/civil engineering and 10+ years of experience; compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of codes and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong engineering analysis and design skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and oversee quality of team deliverables.
• Ensure compliance by being abreast of codes and standards.
• Plan/coordinate pole loading.
• Define plan of control.
• Direct/supervise junior engineers.
• Provide detailed engineering, design and planning assessments and recommendations.
• Evaluate system operations and provide project scope development for overhead and underground utility systems.
• Plan, develop and coordinate engineering studies on projects with complex engineering solutions to address system risk, reliability and capacity limitations.
• Additional duties as needed and/or assigned.
