Job summary

Qualus is seeking an Overhead Transmission Line Engineering Manager to lead and develop an engineering team, influence technical strategy, and cultivate a culture with lasting impact. This role partners with the Engineering Director to ensure technical excellence across projects and client interactions.

The position offers oversight of engineers across multiple offices, with responsibilities spanning planning, design, and delivery while driving QA/QC and efficient resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related) from ABET-accredited school; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in management within energy sector.
• Experience in transmission line design for high voltage utility infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering supervision and leadership to meet project demands.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior-level engineers and clients.
• Oversee QA/QC to ensure design packages meet process standards.
• Coordinate work with multiple engineering offices and cross-train staff for efficiency.
• Present technical solutions to customers and manage project scope, cost, and schedule.
