Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Principal Overhead Transmission Line Engineer to lead design and construction drawings for high-voltage transmission projects. You will act as SME, guide deliverables, and ensure compliance with industry standards while mentoring junior engineers.

The role covers 69kV through 500kV line design, structural analysis, and field support during construction, with opportunities to interface with clients and project managers to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• 15+ years of experience in overhead transmission line design.
• PE license required.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (NESC, ASCE, IEEE).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate technical details clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in transmission line design and construction practices.
• Provide technical guidance and QA reviews for deliverables.
• Act as Engineer of Record when required.
• Design overhead transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV.
• Perform structural and foundation design and analysis.
• Review vendor submittals and project drawings.
