Job summary

AEP in New Albany, Ohio is seeking a senior Transmission Line Engineering leader to oversee a TLE team's activities related to expansion and upgrades of transmission line facilities. You will coordinate with Project Management to ensure engineering, design, route selection, drawings and specifications, and BOMs align with objectives while maintaining safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a PE license and at least eight years in electric utility engineering including

Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Strong understanding of transmission line engineering and design processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, supervise, and manage the engineering and design of system transmission line facilities.
Coordinate with Project Management to ensure design, route selection, drawings, specifications, BOMs, and schedules meet objectives.
Ensure compliance with TLE standards and best practices; deliver technically and economically sound solutions.
Provide engineering support for operation and maintenance of transmission lines and respond to inquiries from Management and other groups.
