Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a Transmission Line Engineering (TLE) team leader to oversee engineering and design of expansion and upgrades to transmission line facilities in a safety-conscious, cost-aware environment.

You will coordinate with project management and other groups to ensure technical and economical solutions meet corporate goals and regulatory standards, while guiding a capable engineering team to deliver on schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of electric utility engineering experience, with at least three (3) years in Transmission Line (T-Line).
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise and manage the engineering and design of transmission line facilities.
• Coordinate with project management, construction, and other groups to meet schedules and budgets.
• Provide engineering support for operation and maintenance of transmission lines and regulatory reporting.
