Qualifications

• Education requirement: High school education or GED.
• Minimum of five years' experience in Transmission operations, construction or maintenance.
• Knowledge gained through roles such as Transmission Line Mechanic A, Transmission Construction Representative or Transmission Maintenance Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crews adhere to AEP policies, standards, and rules.
• Develop construction/maintenance plans with measurable goals based on requirements.
• Provide training and performance improvement activities for personnel.
• Promote professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to standards.
• Organize planning meetings for scheduling and maintenance of equipment with company and contract personnel.
• Make recommendations for employment, promotion, discipline, and discharge of personnel.
• Direct personnel in duties as stated in job descriptions.
• Procure materials, tools and equipment as required.
• Ensure proper and safe use of tools and equipment; supervise safety and training.
• Apply applicable labor agreements or handbook supplements.
