Job summary

GFT is seeking a Sr. Transmission Line Engineer for our Power Business Group. Based in Phoenix, AZ with hybrid options; remote work may be possible for the right candidate. You will lead transmission line designs, coordinate with clients and teams, and guide project execution across energy infrastructure projects.

The role requires 7+ years in transmission line design, strong knowledge of NESC/IEEE, and proficiency in PLS-CADD. PE preferred; travel to projects is expected as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
7+ years of transmission line design experience.
Knowledge of NESC and IEEE standards; PE preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead transmission line project designs as SME.
Coordinate with clients and internal teams on design discussions.
Prepare design criteria documents and construction specs.
Develop construction packages with plans, staking, and material lists.
Estimate costs, resources, and project schedules.
Mentor engineers and travel to client sites.
Support proposals and business development.
