GFT is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Business Group in the United States. Hybrid work is available from Pittsburgh, PA or remote for the right candidate, leading transmission line designs and coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires 4+ years in transmission line design, strong knowledge of NESC/IEEE, and high proficiency in PLS-CADD, with responsibilities spanning design, cost estimation, and mentoring of engineers.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering from an accredited college.
• 4+ years of experience in transmission line design.
• In-depth knowledge of NESC, IEEE, and related codes for transmission line design.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and related design tools.

Aufgaben

• Lead and oversee transmission line project designs as SME.
• Develop design criteria documents and construction specifications.
• Prepare construction packages with structure details, material lists, and staking plans.
• Estimate project costs, resources, and schedules; manage deadlines.
• Write and review specifications in line with NESC/IEEE/NEC.
• Conduct feasibility and routing studies and EMF calculations.
• Oversee project implementation and verify foundations and equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with business development.
