Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to advance our growing transmission engineering practice. You will provide senior-level technical expertise, lead design and analysis tasks, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality deliverables for utility projects in a fully remote US setting.

You should have 5+ years in transmission line engineering with utilities or EPC, strong PLS-CADD experience, and familiarity with NESC/IEEE/FERC standards.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering.
5+ years transmission line engineering experience.
5+ years with electric utility, EPC, or engineering firm.
5+ years of experience in PLS-CADD.

Responsibilities

Lead transmission line designs from conceptual to final design.
Perform studies like conductor sizing, impedance, and voltage drop analyses.
Prepare specs, data sheets, RFQs, and vendor drawings; collaborate on budgets and schedules.
QA/QC for engineering deliverables and field issue resolution.
Conduct field inspections and install reviews for clients.
Develop technical reports and support business development.
