Job summary

Ulteig Engineers is seeking a Principal Transmission Line Engineer to lead high voltage transmission line projects, provide SME guidance, and train staff. The role emphasizes PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE design, client liaison, and development of construction documents to meet project requirements.

You will mentor engineers, assist with bids, and drive process improvements while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and utility clients in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited school (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 20 years relative transmission line engineering experience; PE license required; SE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line design and project coordination for HV and EHV projects.
• Coordinate design aspects, prepare construction documents, and ensure QC against client requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers, contribute to bids, and improve internal design standards and processes.
• Serve as client-facing SME to grow team and manage client relationships.
