Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in the US, with offices in Atlanta, GA; Binghamton, NY; or Orange, CT. You will lead design and delivery of 12 kV–500 kV overhead lines and 12 kV–230 kV underground routes, secure RFPs, and build a capable team across disciplines.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, a PE license or eligibility, 5+ years in transmission design, and proficiency with PLS tools and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• P.E. registration required or eligible within a year or two.
• Minimum 5 years of transmission line design experience.
• Proficient in PLS software suite and GIS tools.
• Familiar with US codes and standards for transmission line design.
• Strong mentoring and client interface skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in securing T&D projects by sourcing active RFPs and developing proposals.
• Lead a team of T&D engineers to support US Power Solutions BU.
• Design 12 kV to 500 kV overhead lines from concept to construction.
• Design 12 kV to 230 kV underground transmission routes.
• Conduct feasibility and planning studies; prepare cost estimates.
• Prepare construction and material specifications for tenders.
