Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to design and manage 12 kV to 500 kV overhead and 12 kV to 230 kV underground transmission projects across Atlanta, GA, Binghamton NY, and Orange CT. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with disciplines, and interface with clients and regulators.

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, PE eligibility, 5+ years in transmission line design, and proficiency with PLS tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
P.E. registration is required or eligible to obtain within a year or two.
Minimum 5 years of transmission lines design experience.
Technical acuity in T&D Engineering is required.
Familiar with US transmission line design standards and codes.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering design and development of 12 kV to 500 kV overhead transmission lines from concept to construction.
Design underground transmission lines from 12 kV to 230 kV.
Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
Interface with clients, contractors, permitting agencies and regulators.
Coordinate field reviews during construction and support project management as needed.
