Job summary

Sargent Lundy in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced engineer to design transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV. You will be responsible for managing project costs, conducting design analyses, and mentoring junior staff while collaborating with clients. Qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience in transmission line design.
• Knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, etc.
• Experience in writing documentation for engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range.
• Conduct cost analyses and develop design criteria.
• Mentor less experienced staff and interact with clients.

Skills

Proficiency with PLS-CADD software

Bilingual in Spanish and English

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail

Education

Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
