Job summary

Revamp Engineering Inc. is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer II/III to design overhead high- and medium-voltage lines connecting solar and storage projects to the grid.

You will turn project requirements into construction-ready designs, collaborating with substation, protection and controls, and civil engineers on the High Voltage team. As an employee-owner, you will share in the results and help build a team where every engineer’s contribution is recognized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Overhead transmission or distribution line design experience: typically 2+ years for Engineer II and 5+ years for Engineer III.
• Working proficiency in PLS-CADD, including sag-tension analysis, structure spotting, and clearance checks.
• Experience modeling structures in PLS-POLE or PLS-TOWER.
• Working knowledge of NESC, ASCE 74, and ASCE 48 as they apply to overhead line design.
• Experience preparing plan and profile drawings, structure load sheets, and material lists.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including documenting calculations for review.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of overhead gen-tie, transmission, and medium-voltage lines using PLS-CADD.
• Model structures in PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER and prepare load sheets.
• Develop foundations and insulator assemblies and BOMs.
• Coordinate with substation and civil teams on line terminations and access roads.
• Ensure designs meet standards and project requirements.
