Job summary

Techserv is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to support the design of overhead high-voltage transmission lines. You will route lines, design structures, select conductors, evaluate clearances, and generate drawings and calculations per client standards.

The role requires collaboration with Substation, Civil, project management, and environmental teams, and involves field visits, QA/QC, estimating, and coordinating interfaces with substations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• Experience in electric utility transmission-line engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with NESC and design standards.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design for transmission lines and modifications.
• Develop alignments, plan-and-profile drawings, structure lists, and docs.
• Conduct sag-tension, clearance, loading, and structural analyses.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, foundation, survey, and environmental data.
• Provide engineering support during construction and QA/QC.
