Job summary

Global Edge Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Design / Drafting professional for transmission line projects. You will prepare scaled drawings, design lines from 34.5kV to 230kV, and lead design packages while coordinating with engineers and other disciplines.

Requirements include an Associate Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design, 5+ years of relevant work, proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and familiarity with PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE and industry codes (NESC, IEC, IEEE, ANSI).

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design/Drafting or equivalent
• Familiarity with transmission line design and relevant codes is preferred
• Experience with the listed CAD tools and design packages required

Responsibilities

• Prepare scaled electrical drawings for transmission line projects
• Develop complete design drawing packages for design checks
• Design lines from 34.5kV to 230kV
• Perform structural analysis of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures
• Lead project assignments and guide junior staff
• Interface with other disciplines to coordinate drawings
• Review material lists and schedules for projects
• Ensure QA/QC of documents per standards
• Travel to job sites for site walkdowns
