Worley is seeking a Transmission Line Designer to deliver scaled drawings for 34.5kV–230kV projects within the Power Networks team. You will prepare detailed designs, interface with multi-discipline teams, and lead project drawing packages to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of design experience, strong AutoCAD and MicroStation skills, and knowledge of NESC/IEEE/CSA/ANSI standards; occasional travel to job sites will be required.

Qualificações

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design / Drafting with discipline specific training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in electrical design and drafting.
• Transmission Line design and familiarity is required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare scaled drawings for transmission line projects with minimal supervision and engineering input.
• Develop a complete design drawing package for checking or checking design drawing packages prepared by others.
• Design transmission lines from 34.5kV to 230kV range.
• Design and perform structural analysis and design of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures.
• Lead project assignments and guide other design staff in preparing design drawing packages.
• Interface with other disciplines in the development of the drawing package.
• Create and/or review bills of material, conduit, and cable schedules for transmission line projects.
• Work closely with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
• Works in a team environment, takes direction from the lead engineer and creates project drawings.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Work at times with limited direction and have the ability to assist with conceptualizing layouts using go-by information.
• Effective technical and practical electrical design and drafting skills ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
• Abilit to travel to job sites to perform site walkdown.
• Responsible for the quality assurance of the documents to the applicable drawing standards and responsible for the proper document management procedures are followed.
• Ability to complete tasks in accordance with project procedures, applicable codes and/or standards, on schedule and within budget.
