Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Designer in Georgia on a hybrid schedule based in Peachtree Corners. The role focuses on the development of transmission/distribution line drawings and 3D CAD designs using AutoCAD and MicroStation.

You will collaborate with engineers on project team environments, produce 3D models, material lists, and grounding details, and participate in site walkdowns and vendor discussions to refine drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with 10+ years in transmission line design.
• Ability to visualize 3D parts and multi-task across projects.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop transmission/distribution line drawings and designs.
• Apply CAD design skills in 3D design environments using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Develop transmission line plans, hardware details, material lists, grounding.
• Create master sketches to scale and interpret input from specs.
• Attend client walkdowns to gather information for the project.
• Interface with vendors/contractors to refine drawings.
