East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Transmission Line Design Supervisor to lead the design team in planning, engineering and construction of new and upgraded transmission facilities in Kentucky, with focus on safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a KY-licensed PE and ABET‑accredited engineering degree, seven years of related experience and leadership ability to coordinate with stakeholders, regulators, and consultants on scopes, estimates, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from ABET‑accredited program.
Registered Professional Engineer license in Kentucky.
Seven years of related experience in transmission line design.
Five years of transmission line design and construction experience.
Three years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise siting, design, construction support, and project management for new and upgraded transmission line projects.
Ensure workgroup follows project management processes and forecast costs and schedules.
Coordinate design activities and cost estimation with stakeholders and teams.
Oversee design of substations and related facilities as needed.
Lead preparation of plans, specs, and bids for transmission line projects and evaluate proposals.
Coordinate with engineering consultants and external entities for design activities.
Participate in regulatory coordination for permits and approvals.
Provide leadership, conduct performance reviews, and develop staff.
