Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET-accredited program; PE licensure.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Proficient in transmission line design theories and principles.
• Proficient with transmission line design software: PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE, MFAD.
• Familiar with applicable design codes and standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in project management fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering/technical expertise in transmission line design; analyzes scenarios and performs design calculations.
• Provides guidance in identification, analysis and resolution of complex TL design problems.
• Prepares reports, calculations and drawings; suggests process improvements and standards.
• Conducts studies and manages projects with minimal oversight; designs and maintains systems with moderate impact.
• Ensures achievement of TL projects and business goals through planning, estimating, and monitoring work.
• Makes informed decisions affecting major projects or department results.
• Develops positive working relationships to coordinate work activities.
• Maintains records and communicates effectively.
