Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Field Construction Manager to lead day-to-day construction activities for EPC and program management projects across multiple sites in the US. The role oversees safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and subcontractor performance with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree in Construction/CM/Engineering and 7 years of PM experience in construction, plus strong communication and risk-management

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 7 years relevant project management experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and successful execution of single or multiple projects.
• Develop project plans, scheduling, estimating, and cost development with objective milestones.
• Manage client relationships, proposals, and project-related items.
• Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders while ensuring compliance.
• Lead risk reviews, safety programs, and quality assurance on site.
• Direct field staff, craft supervision, and training; mentor interns and coordinators.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, progress reporting, and earned value metrics.
