American Electric Power in Abilene, TX seeks a Transmission Construction Representative at Senior/Principal level to lead complex transmission projects from site to completion. You will supervise crews, coordinate permits, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

The role requires a construction/engineering degree with extensive project management experience and the ability to work across project teams, including external contractors and regulatory bodies.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction/engineering fields with project management emphasis.
• Experience in electric project/construction oversight required for higher levels.
• Strong reading of civil, electrical drawings and permits.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple teams and regulatory bodies.

Mansioni

• Provide construction site management for transmission line/station projects.
• Oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental permits.
• Coordinate with environmental, ROW, and siting teams on approvals.
• Review drawings and provide feedback to engineering before issuance.
• Ensure timely material ordering, delivery, and inventory on site.
• Support outages planning and scheduling with project teams.
• Lead meetings on safety expectations and lessons learned at closeout.
