Job summary

AEP is seeking a Transmission Construction Representative to manage construction activities for transmission lines and stations, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and scope while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with environmental teams, reviewing drawings, and guiding crews to resolve on-site issues. Travel up to 20% and collaboration with multiple project teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management Science or related field with project management experience.
• Associate degree in Construction Management Technology or related field with 4+ years in electric industry.
• High school diploma with 6+ years in electric industry or project management/oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction site management for transmission line and station construction projects.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety program adherence on site.
• Coordinate with environmental teams to meet SWPPP and environmental permit requirements.
• Review drawings and project documents to resolve construction or engineering issues.
• Assist in outage planning and resource coordination across project portfolios.
