Job summary
Moderna Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA seeks a Senior Scientist to lead translational immunology studies across infectious disease programs. You will design and coordinate immune-mechanism investigations, using human samples and preclinical models to inform vaccine and therapeutic decisions.
This role requires deep expertise in B cells, T cells, or innate immunity, strong leadership, and mentoring; you will collaborate with virology, clinical development, and biomarker teams to interpret results
Qualifications
- PhD in immunology or related discipline with strong immune-cell biology foundation.
- 2+ years of experience in immunology research.
- Deep expertise in at least one area of cellular immunology (B/T/innate cells).
- Experience designing and interpreting cellular assays, including multiparameter flow cytometry.
Responsibilities
- Lead translational immunology strategy for assigned programs.
- Design and lead studies using human samples and preclinical models.
- Provide experimental expertise and scientific oversight in your area.
- Develop fit-for-purpose assays and controls; interpret results.
